1. Scope
These terms apply when you visit the Northflow Gems website (northflowgems.com), open a Northflow Gems account or reserve the pre-registration Welcome Offer. Using the site or creating an account means you accept them. If you don’t, please stop using the site.
2. About Northflow Gems
Northflow Gems is a free puzzle video game for web browsers in which players guide water through channels and locks. It is in pre-registration and is not yet playable on this website. Pre-registering sets up your account and holds the Welcome Offer until launch.
There are no real-money features in the site or the game. Nothing in either can be purchased, won, cashed out or swapped for money or any other real-world reward.
3. Accounts
- You create and open your account with your email address and a one-time magic link. Accounts have no password.
- Protect your email inbox: whoever opens your magic link gets into your account.
- Each person may hold one account. Accounts are personal and may not be sold, shared or transferred.
- The email address you give must be valid and yours.
- If you haven’t reached the age of majority where you live in Canada, use the site only with a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms for you.
4. Welcome Offer
The Exclusive Welcome Offer (8,000 Ripple Gems + Tova, together with the items shown on the homepage) costs nothing. It is held on your account from the moment you pre-register and delivered in three drops (Day 1, Day 3 and Day 7) once the game launches. Each account receives one Welcome Offer. If the launch moves, the delivery dates may move with it, and we’ll let you know by email.
5. Ripple Gems and other in-game items
Ripple Gems are an in-game currency. Ripple Gems and every other in-game item have no monetary value and can’t be exchanged for cash, moved to another account or used outside the game. What you receive is a limited, personal licence to use that content in Northflow Gems; you don’t own it.
6. Fair play
- Don’t cheat, use bots or scripts, exploit bugs or run unauthorized software.
- Don’t harass anyone or use hateful or abusive names, messages or content.
- Don’t try to get into other players’ accounts or disrupt the service.
Accounts that break these rules may be suspended or closed. Where the law requires it, we’ll explain why.
7. Intellectual property
The Northflow Gems name and logo, its characters (including Tova, Boreal and Skerry), its artwork and its text belong to us or to those who license them to us. You’re welcome to share links and screenshots for personal, non-commercial use.
8. Service availability and updates
We aim to keep the site running but can’t guarantee it will always be available. Features, launch plans and these terms may change. For a material change, we’ll update the date at the top and, if you hold an account, email you before the change applies.
9. Limitation of liability
The site and pre-registration are free. As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect or consequential loss. These terms don’t take away any right you have under your province’s or territory’s consumer protection laws that a contract can’t override.
10. Closing your account
Ask us through the contact form and we’ll close your account. Any Welcome Offer drops not delivered by then are cancelled.
11. Governing law
The laws of the Province of Ontario, and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario, govern these terms. If you live in another province or territory, its mandatory consumer protection laws still protect you, and you may bring a claim before its courts.
