1. Cookies and similar storage
A cookie is a small text file a website saves on your device. Browser local storage does a similar job. This page lists what Northflow Gems stores, why, and how you decide.
2. Making your choice
On your first visit, a bar at the bottom of the page offers Accept all and Reject non-essential, side by side and equally easy to pick. Nothing non-essential runs until you accept. We remember your answer, so the bar doesn’t return on other pages.
3. Essential storage
The site needs this to work. It doesn’t follow you to other websites.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
nfg_cookie_consent | Local storage | Stores your cookie choice | Until you clear it |
4. Analytics and advertising (only with your consent)
After you choose “Accept all”, Google Tag Manager may load analytics and advertising tools that show us how the site is used and how our campaigns perform. Cookies you may see include:
| Provider | Examples | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | _ga, _ga_* | Counts visits and page interactions | Up to 2 years |
| Google Ads | _gcl_* | Measures advertising results | Up to 90 days |
| Meta | _fbp, _fbc | Measures advertising results | Up to 90 days |
Google Consent Mode tells these tools that analytics and advertising storage is denied until you accept.
5. Browser controls
Your browser settings also let you block or clear cookies and local storage. If you block essential storage, we can’t remember your choice and the cookie bar may show up on every visit.
